Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Please also refer to our Terms & Conditions of Service

1. How much does it cost to have my dog groomed?

Please visit our ‘Styling’ page for a price guide. Prices vary depending on breed, size, coat condition, and the work required.

2. What’s included in a full groom?

Our full groom includes:

  • Clipping and/or trimming

  • Nail trim

  • Ear cleaning

  • Thorough brushing and comb-through

  • Two deep-cleansing baths using premium, natural shampoo and conditioner

  • Fluff drying

  • Finishing touches with top-quality products and a spritz of perfume

3. How long does a groom take?

Grooming time depends on each dog and what’s happening in the salon that day. On average, full grooms take 2–3+ hours.
We take the time needed to deliver a calm, high-quality service — we never rush.

4. When can I book an appointment?

Appointments are typically available:

  • Tuesday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM (subject to change)

  • One late evening per month, usually the last Monday
We book at least 2 weeks in advance, so early booking is recommended. Many clients book in bulk or schedule for the year.

5. What should I bring?

  • Your dog on a safe, secure lead

  • Medicated shampoo, if prescribed

  • Allergy-specific treats, if needed

6. Can I stay during the groom?

We recommend a confident, positive handover at reception, then leaving the salon so your dog can settle.
You’re welcome to wait nearby, but dogs often behave better without their owners in sight.

We will text you when the groom is complete.
If you arrive early or choose to stay and it distracts your dog, we may not be able to complete the groom safely and may ask you to return later or collect your dog unfinished.

7. What happens during the grooming process?

Every dog is different, and we adapt our approach to suit each individual. Here’s a typical groom journey:

  1. Check-in: We discuss your dog’s needs and condition, confirm the grooming plan, and answer any questions. Then, we get to work — we ask for patience while we work our magic!

  2. Settling in: Your dog may mingle with others, relax in our secondary room, or rest in a secure crate.

  3. Prepping: Once their stylist is ready, we lift your dog using a gentle hydraulic table and begin brushing, detangling, and preparing them for the bath.

  4. Bath time: Two thorough washes with warm water, natural shampoo, and conditioner. Spa treatments (if booked) are done at this stage.

  5. Drying:

    • First, we towel dry and use a Happy Hoodie to protect the ears.

    • Then, we use a high-velocity dryer (blaster) to dry and remove loose undercoat.

    • If needed, we may use a cabinet dryer or a cool-air hand dryer, depending on your dog’s comfort.

  1. Finishing: We complete the haircut/styling, trim nails, clean ears, apply finishing products and a spritz of perfume.

  2. Collection: You'll receive a text or call once your dog is ready for pick-up.

8. How can I pay?

We accept:

  • Cash

  • Credit/debit cards (excluding AMEX*)

All grooms are subject to VAT.
*AMEX is accepted only for spa treatments and teeth cleaning, which are not subject to VAT.
We do not accept cheques.
